When you visit CarrierOwl, our servers automatically record standard log data: your IP address, browser type, referring page, pages visited, and the time of each request. This data is used for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. We do not link this information to individual identities.

Cookies

CarrierOwl does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics scripts. We may use minimal functional cookies required by our hosting infrastructure (such as load balancer session affinity), but these do not track you across sites and contain no personal data.

Carrier data

All carrier information displayed on CarrierOwl comes from public FMCSA datasets maintained by the U.S. Department of Transportation. This data is public domain under the Freedom of Information Act and is not considered private or personal information. We do not collect, store, or display any information beyond what FMCSA publishes.

Third-party services

CarrierOwl does not share data with third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms. We do not embed third-party tracking scripts. Our site runs on infrastructure provided by our hosting provider, which may process server logs as part of normal operations.

Data retention

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted. We do not maintain long-term records of individual visitor activity.
